This past Saturday I volunteered to cover the”Blooms for the Cure” event which raised funds for the Knoxville Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation at Crescent Bend House & Gardens. The foundation that helps fund Breast Cancer research and the education for early detection. It turned out to be a beautiful day for the event as the gardens where overflowing with pink tulips and the guest were entertained by the Smokyland Sound Quartet of Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Star of Knoxville riverboat brought guests in during the “Blooms for the Cure”.
The Smokyland Sound Quartet performed several times throughout the day.
Crescent Bend House & Gardens will be hosting Derby Day on Sat. May 1st.

The Crescent Bend – Armstrong-Lockett House [part of the Kingston Pike Historic District add to the NRHP in 1996] & the William P. Toms Memorial Garden is located on Crescent Bend overlooking the Tennessee River in Knoxville, TN. I met up with Jennifer (June Bride) and her Mom at Whitestone Country Inn this past Monday. It’s so important to me as a wedding photographer to spend time with the bride and groom before the big day. To hear and watch how excited Jennifer was about every detail of the day was amazing. It’s rare that I get this opportunity to spend with the bride during the venue planning stages, but I attempt to always make myself available when I can. The additional time we spent on Monday will be greatly reflected in the images I will capture on her big day. I’m truly looking forward to this wedding.
